Westland, MI, to Utilize Buxton’s Match Tool in Retail Recruitment Strategy

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (October 26, 2020) — The City of Westland, MI, has purchased Buxton’s Match and Mobilytics tools to support the city’s retail recruitment strategy. The information from Buxton will help Westland community leaders attract retailers and restaurants to the area.

“Basic demographic information fails to paint a true picture of a community’s retail potential,” said Brian Merrion, director of sales at Buxton. “We are pleased to support the retail development efforts of the Westland community.”

By using Buxton’s new Match module housed within the firm’s SCOUT platform, the City of Westland will be able to compare community residents to visitors of a brand’s existing sites with the help of Buxton’s household-level psychographic segmentation data. The city will use this information to identify retailers and restaurants whose client bases match those found among the consumers and residents in Westland. The City of Westland joins a growing list of communities using Buxton’s consumer intelligence technology as a tool for strategic economic development decisions.
